Energy Capital Ventures is the champion for innovation in Green Moleculestm. We leverage strong relationships with our strategic limited partners and broader industry network to drive portfolio growth and industry impact. Our investments focus primarily on Series A companies with commitments ranging from $2 million to $5 million. We have the flexibility to invest earlier, where we can leverage our platform to mitigate technology and market risk. We also have the capacity to invest more significant amounts of capital through special purpose vehicles and limited partner co-investment.
Our preference is to lead rounds, take board seats, and serve as active advocates in developing our portfolio but are happy to co-lead and syndicate with other great investors. We have the means to invest up to 30% of our fund outside North America, where there is advanced value innovation to the natural gas industry, and up to 25% of funds in broader energy related technologies which may be of potential future relevance to the industry.
