Energy Capital Ventures (ECV), the only early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to the sustainability, resilience and digital transformation of the natural gas industry, announced today the sponsorship of professional golfer Wyatt Worthington II. Mr. Worthington’s achievements include winning on the APGA Tour at TPC Las Vegas and recently qualifying with a top 20 finish at the PGA Professional Championship. With these achievements Mr. Worthington has been entered into the PGA Championship later this week at the Oak Hill Country Club.

This is Mr. Worthington’s third PGA Championship having played last year at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma and in 2016 at Baltusrol (NJ). Of note, Mr. Worthington was the first African American golfer in 25 years to qualify for this major tournament. Additionally, last year he won the John Shippen Invitational automatically exempting him into the Rocket Mortgage Classic on the PGA tour. Further, Mr. Worthington has won several exemptions for the Korn Ferry tour later this year.
